How do I grow blue bell flowers?

My brother would like to grow blue bells inhis garden. They grow wild in woodlands etc., and are a protected species. As far as I know they do not transplant well

YES ITS AN OFFENCE TO REMOVE THEM FROM THE WILD%26lt;BUT THEY ARE A BULB,YOU CAN BUY THE BULBS FROM A GOOD BULB SUPPLIER THEY GROW BEST IN MOIST BUT WELL DRAINED ,SHADED AREAS, THEY MULLTIPLY QUITE RAPPIDLY AND THE FLOWERS IF LEFT UNPICKED WILL PRODUCE SEEDS, THESES CAN EITHER BE LEFT TO JUST SPRED IN THE WIND OR COLLECTED WHEN DRY AND GROW IN POTTS, THE SEEDS WILL TAKE TWO YEARS TO BECOME A BULB AND PRODUCES A FLOWER, YOU CAN ALLSO GROW THE BULBS IN POTTS IF YOU WISH. I HAVE A SEVEN ACARE GARDEN IN WHICH I HAVE CREATED A WOODLAND AREA PLANTED TO BLUEBELLS AND PRIMROSES IN SPRING IT LOOKS ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFULL,IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER HELP DROP ME A LINE HAPPY GARDENING

Reply:You would need the bulbs. Once established bluebells grow and spread like weeds they are amazing. You can pretty much plant the bulbs at any time of year and they will flower in spring but their flowering season is quite short, about the same time as daffodils.





You can get the bulbs at garden centres.
Reply:Norman's right but if you're planting in a flower bed, put them behind a summer plant so that after flowering, the dead leaves won't show. also please get English not Spanish variaties.
