I thought passion flower was supposed to smell good from what I've heard. I am really looking forward to making tea from the flower, but not if it tastes gross... Also, how do I know when the fruit is ripe enough to eat?
Is it safe to eat a wild passion flower? I picked one and I don't care for the smell at all...ugh...?
There is no harm in eating the passion flower. When the fruit is ripened it colour becomes bright yellow in tropical parts. It also exudes a tempting fragrance.
Reply:I would trust my nose.If you do not like the smell then you probably will not like the taste.
